As I was out a bit today to find some photo opportunities, I came across this gate. The gate reminded me that today is the beginning of a New Year. Through it we must all go, whether we want to or not. To some it is an exciting step, to others it may mean fear, dread or anxiety as to what lies ahead. I hope as this New Year begins, we can each find at least one thing that creates a bit of excitement as we make the best of whatever it is that is before us. We do not know what tomorrow will bring, but we can make every attempt to do our very best at handling whatever comes our way. Best wishes as we face 2012 head on. The clock has begun.

Beautiful photo and words, Rick. They really hit home for me today. Yesterday was a sad day of thinking about the loved ones I will miss. But beginning today, hope is what I'm choosing to focus on.
