A Grand Entrance

I pass this stone entrance gate every morning on my way to work. It leads to a beautiful, large historic mansion, set on a large lot, surrounded by large, beautiful, majestic trees. It is now for sale. If they ever have open house, you know I will pretend to be interested.
How gorgeous this is, Rick ....most beautiful pov on this. Love the light and shadow. One wants to walk right in. Beautiful stone and textures. If you go, try to get in with the camera. :)

@sangwann Well I would guess with the land, about 5 acres or more, and the house, probably 5 or 5 bedrooms, several baths, large rooms, beautiful country setting, perhaps about $400,000, that's just a guess because I do not know how modernized it is, but just the history of it alone, maybe more.

very inviting photo ... you want to go and discover what lies behind the gate. Wonder what the house looks like ...

what a lovely composition

I don't know Rick; I don't think you would like living behind a gate and a wall. You seem to be such a free spirit. I picture you and your pretty bride somewhere where the grass is green and the fields are rolling. As always, great shot.

Went to look for it not realizing I've already seen it. yes I can imagine when looking at that entrance that there is a mansion behind it.

The angle you shot made this great!

My previous boss lives in one of the most expensive estates in his region, and when he put his home up for sale it was valued at £1.8million..10 doorsteps away and another property was valued at £5million! This shot reminds me of the grandeur of the whole place, great capture and POV,

I've always that a gated entrance like that would be wonderful!
