A few shots of some of the homes on the grounds at Hershey Children's Home. Several hundred acres providing homes for the less fortunate children. The children who live here are provided with all their needs including their education, all a part of the dreams of one man, Milton Hershey. This is just a tiny piece of his legacy.
Awesome collage, Rick! I never heard about this Hershey legacy. It's hard to think of kids living in a home, but this one looks beautiful. Were you visiting it?
I wishs there were more people like Mr. Hershey..what a wonderful place he created for these needy children..have to read up on him when I have a minute tomorrow.

We all know about Hershey candy and Hershey Park, but I never knew about this children's home. That generation of wealthy families really knew how to give back to their communities. Thank you for telling me about this place. I'm surprised it's still in existence, but their legacy was/is huge.
