Alone

This single tree serves as a good example of solitude. Sometimes life screams for a bit of solitude, away from the chaos called life. Some fear solitude. Through the years I have found moments of solitude to be a source of inner strength, a way to regain my focus.

Gorgeous! Fav! I have to have solitude! Just this weekend, I took a huge beach towel, walked halfway down our lake trail, plopped down, read a book, and watched for hawks to photo. I just recharge by doing that sort of solitary thing. I used to recharge running. that was another time to be alone with my thoughts. Anyway, gorgeous pic!

Perfect photo for solitude, Rick. I love solitude. It's one of the prerequisites to being a writer for obvious reasons. But to me there is nothing better than a long walk on the beach all by myself. That is the gift that 365 has given me, and it why I keep coming back. Without this deadline, I just don't go on those walks, or take photos.
