1826 Photograph

Came across this article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2181089/German-exhibition-feature-experts-believe-worlds-photo.html which discusses what is believed to be the world's first photograph. "The photo will be part of the exhibition 'The Birth of Photography' which will open on September 9 at the Reiss Engelhorn Museums in Mannheim, Germany."

I love this. Isn't it amazing how far we've come in the world of photography? Heck, with technology! I detect a bit of 'noise' in the old photo, wouldn't you say? It's brilliant. Thanks for posting!!

last year I did a month long series of shots trying to reproduce the feel of historic photo processes using digital post production with a write up of each of the original techniques, and heliography was the first shot of this series. this is what I came up with
