My name is Helena, and I'm new at this project, so I was wondering if you guys could help me? How do I get followers? And what is importent to get a great pic? What happens if I miss a day?
Helena - I'm relatively new too. Followers come when you post interesting/ good pictures and also when you get involved in the wider community but it can be slow. I'm happy to give you a follow if you return the favour ; )
I'm now following your project and I'm very exicted to see more of your Photos! Followers isn't so important in here, but the best way to gain followers is to get involved, comment, ask and post!
It'll take a bit of time to build up some followers but I think the best way for you to get known is to be active - comment on photos, follow people you enjoy the work of and maybe participate in some discussions, themes, challenges...

Don't worry if you miss a day, it's no big deal. Many people post a filler picture of something they really like/are proud of etc. Do exactly what you want to do with it.
The one thing I can guarantee is that your thought process, eye for a picture and technical skills will all improve hugely. It's a great community to be a part of...
All of the advice already given is the best way to build up followers. With regards missing a day, since this is your project you can post how and when you fancy. I would advise that you try not to post a lot of pictures at once. If you are unable to post daily it's nicer for your followers if you only post a couple at a time so as not to flood their dashboards. Have fun with the project!
Getting followers is not what this site should be about. As others see your images they will decide if they want to follow you. People who shoot the same kind of things as you will be attracted and follow. If you miss a day, still post an image. You can change the date when you upload it.
Best thing is to get involved, look at the other photo's and comment. As ever with 365 you get out what you put in but it is a great site. What is important for a great picture, that ids a hard one. For me if I am happy with then it is a great picture, beauty in the eye of the beholder. It is your project so set your own rules, it does take effort to take a shot every day but it is possible to do it. Good luck and enjoy.
