No, not the song from Mary Poppins but a technique for enhancing resolution from your camera sensor using Adobe Photoshop. Courtesy of @thephotoncollective

The chap meanders a bit at the start of the video but when he finally gets down to it, it seems straightforward enough. Be sure to check out his other video when he makes a bit of a mistake and corrects it.

Looks promising. I'll have to give it a go. Thank you, Eve. :)

Works well for long telephoto (still) subjects that you might have to hand hold, especially with a "zoom" at maximum length where it can be not at its sharpest. If you shoot the bright full moon for instance, the technique works well. Also to increase the DoF in macro shots as you minutely adjust the focus shot to shot in the stack. Not shooting in burst mode though. :) It's often referred to as "focus stacking" if used this way. Tripod essential of course.

Rather than increasing the resolution, it is probably best referred to as increasing sharpness and clarity. We tend to use the "resolution" word a bit too casually. More resolution (pixels per inch) from your camera will do nothing for you if sharpness is absent.

Indeed it can hinder you. The whopping pixel count DSLRs, the Nikon D810 and now the Canon 5DS duo, are for naught if you have inferior glass and/or camera shake/shutter shock. As many enthusiasts found out to their disappointment with the original Nikon D800. Even with the whiz-bang stabilization technology of the 5DS, such a camera is only for a few specialist professionals, certainly not even the most enthusiastic amateur it would seem. For Internet and PC view, for prints up to, say 16x12 inches, you will be down-sampling from even a 12mp camera anyway. Now sharpness though, that's a whole different matter.
