I have visited many photo forum and gallery over the years, and there has been some very useful and worthwhile places for photographers to show and discuss their work, but this one is a stand-out..congrats to all who contribute!
It certainly is! The community here is absolutely fantastic. I can't say I've had the same level of support and encouragement anywhere else. This is particularly true on days when I've though my photo was "meh". Those photos seem to some of the ones that have garnered the most comments!
As I only really got serious about my hobby with this project I really appreciate all the comments. critiques and support. It's really helped me stick with it.

I agree! I've never belonged to a "photograghy forum" before and I'm having a ball! I really look forward to both making and receiving comments!
My goal when I started was to use the 365 project to catch small moments and use this vehicle to share them with my parents, keep them in the loop of my busy life. However, this project seems to have taken on a life of its own! My photography skills are getting better but, most unexpected of all, I have made new friends!
The downside? There may have to be a new camera in my future! I'm just not sure that my point-and-shoot is going to be able to keep up with me!
hey denise ~ that doesn't sound like a downside to me :) upgrading upgrading - get used to it, that is a never ending thing with photography ! haha i have really enjoyed following everyone, and have felt many connections. i am very happy i have started this project. to be honest because i have my own business, and i shoot people, i alot of times don't carry my camera with me anymore, to important things - like my kids' games, etc. because especially after the holidays, i feel like i need a break from my camera and i equated camera with work. so now i am very happy to start taking those "pictures for fun" which is how it all started anyhow. and i also am capturing those important memories which would have not otherwise been recorded. thank you 365!!
I agree! It's helped me tremendously in not just in developing a new interests but in getting my thoughts out about the day. I love the supportive and kind people that I have met. It's the hightlight of my day. Thanks everyone! You are all super great!
Absolutely, this project has far exceeded my expectations. I feel I am getting to know perfect strangers across the planet through their photos and their comments.
I am having a blast carrying my camera around and thinking about photography everyday.
