Today, August 19th, is the World Photography Day.

How does photography impact your life?
Or how your photos impact the lives of others?
We could be doing so many other things instead of wanting to record something with the camera.
For me, photography is not just a hobby, it is a personal need to read and write through the objectivity and/or subjectivity of a photo.
Sometimes a photographer seems to be in another dimension, or there are those who harshly capture the reality of the planet and life.
This is you ?

Here you can read a little about the world photography day.

Have a great world photography day!

It is quite simple for me to answer this question, photography is for me a lifeline at the moment. Why? At there moment I am finding it very difficult to get away from my very immediate area as my wife, Beryl, is in the middle of chemotherapy, has mobility problems and needs a lot of extra care so photography(even though the subjects may be quite limited and possibly even boring) does provide a great way of both documenting what is happening and giving me a distraction.

Thankyou @antonios for posting about World Photography Day. I use my camera in conjunction with journal writing to not only record but to reflect, to contemplate. I/eye.

And thankyou Andrew for sharing and illustrating one of the many roles photography plays in people's lives. I hope you can share your photos with your Beryl. @allsop

@allsop Andrew, thank you for your comment.
In moments like these I also agree that photography is something that is right there, easy to obtain, without great demands on means. And we can have lots of reasons to photograph, many more than the most obvious ones. If the sick person can collaborate, important moments of sharing arise.
We are challenged to look at the B side of things.
