Announcing 365 Project For Mobile

April 27th, 2010
Today, I'm happy to announce 365 Project for mobile devices. Now, browsers on mobile devices such as iPhones or Droids will see the mobile optimised version of the site.

It's early days and there is still a lot to do. So far the mobile site allows you to keep up to date with recent activity, browse through your project and check out the latest uploads and most popular photos.

To use the mobile version of the site, simply point your devices web browser to the usual website.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or feedback, feel free to email me at ross@365project.org or drop your thoughts in the comments below.

Enjoy

It doesn't really work all that well on my phone (HTC Hero) I see the Home page fine, but then when I try to get to 'You' etc it just doesn't do anything. Might just be my phone though :)

Can you upload from this? I can't find a spot. Would be useful on my iphone to be able to upload shots taken. Otherwise, I can wait to get home if it only let you view the site. Am I missing something?
April 30th, 2010
Oh now that is plain sweet! Now I can totally geek out at work {and elsewhere} to show people... Awesome ;]

Wonderful! My only suggestion - I wish it had the same "follow" ability as the full site. But it's easy enough to tap on the "full site" at the bottom of the screen and do it from there too. Great job!

Now for an app! Where we can upload to the site directly from the phone.

Ross, you rock my socks. I actually blindly wandered on it a couple of days ago, and was thrilled. It works great! You are incredibly good at what you do!

just had my phone replaced, but cant find the app on itunes? Is it US only?
May 14th, 2010
@Simon Armostrong: There's no app, it's just a version of the site optimized for mobile devices :)

I've got an HTC Desire and for the last couple of days the mobile site doesn't seem to be playing nice. Just tried it and all I'm getting is the top header and nav bad and the copyright notice and three links at the bottom, and three very small boxes in the middle of the screen.

Prior to that I was having problems clicking on links in the nav bar, just tapping on them did nothing, I'd have to touch and hold then choose open from the pop up menu. The URL changes when I touch on a link so it goes from http://365project.org/#/dashboard to /#/agentz if I click but the page doesn't change.

I can open the full site by using the link at the bottom of the page.

@agentz, that's odd, works in the android emulator, hmm. If you wanna buy me an HTC Desire I can get it working for ya ;-)

I'll see what I can do.

Doesn't work on my HTC Evo. No matter what browser I use, it just gets a blank screen. Here's a screen shot http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b201/djorijun/?action=view¤t=snap20110329_101635.png
