Hi Savanna, welcome to 365. I would suggest you start following people who have photographs you like. Commenting on other peoples pictures can get you started on different techniques. People are always willing to talk about how they took pictures.
You have made a start, you just need to go out and look at things. Look at how light catches on objects. Look at the relationship between different objects. You can also try setting up shots, but that is more difficult. Try and add a central focus to your photograph. Eyes like to stop somewhere in an image. Color can be a great way to put a focal point in a frame.
