So I am relatively new to 365. I have just gotten into photography again, thanks to my encouraging, patient, and kind boyfriend. I would love some constructive criticism form those of you who are a bit more experienced than I in the photography field. It would be really great to know how I can improve and what I can do differently to grow as an artist.
Thank you!!!

Welcome to 365, Isabel!
A first step I'd recommend is going into the settings option and adding some bio information -- a bit more background of what you are hoping to learn might provide your followers with information useful for giving you helpful feedback. I'm sure you'll enjoy the site!

Amy
You can try tagging your photos 'critique-me' :) but be careful what you wish for! Be willing to take the bad with the good! I have offered critique to folk before and been slammed for the "what I would have done" advice offered.

I looked at what you have posted. For the still images, I wonder why the ISO is high? I use 1600 in some situations but not higher. I do not understand the shallow DOF in some of the images. Can you explain the coice of f2.8 and ISO 2500?

@taffy I'll do that right away, thanks!

@amyamoeba I have think skin, I can take it. Im here to grow and i cant do that by being coddled, who can? lol

@chapjohn I am still new to the photography thing. My boyfriend has been teaching me a lot of the basics, but there is a ton of stuff to learn and I have not mastered (not even close) to the manual settings on our camera. I have just been using the auto. That is why it was on 2.8, I just asked him what that meant and he said that he will teach me about it next time we go out and take pictures somewhere or the next time we sit down and edit together. I would love for you to watch out for more pictures that I have adjusted by myself in the camera's manual settings.
thank you for the inquiry, now i will learn something else!

@idsweere I'd suggest getting something like "from Snapshots to Great Shots" book specific to your camera. Here's a link for your T2i at amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Canon-EOS-Rebel-T2i-550D/dp/0321733916/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389278312&sr=8-1&keywords=From+Snapshots+T2i $15 and a little time well invested with Jeff Revell the author.

Does the critique-me tag actually work?

OK. that is good to understand. I would suggest getting a copy of Bryan Peterson's book "Understanding Exposure" edition 3. This book is considered by many to be a great source for learning what the exposure triangle is and how to make it work. Although, while shooting "M" gives you more control of what happens in the camera, there may be times when using A or S may be better. I think evenutally you enjoy having the creative control of what your camera can do.

@chapjohn I totally agree here @idsweere Understanding Exposure is a great book and I have a copy of it. If you want to understand the triad of exposure, this book makes it so darn simple. Practicing those techniques is a different story, but you have to start some where. I went to the library and checked out about 20 books over 5-6 months and read them all. Basically, most of what my library had on the shelves. I'm like that, it takes several viewpoints for it to start to kick in...

@jbucovetsky I've never had the critique-me tag work.
