Jambo (hello) everyone. My name is Shaheed Ali Khan (SAK) and am from Nairobi, Kenya. I believe am the only one from kenya on this site. I love music, art, food and photography.
Am new and trying hard to figure out how this site works. Also its first attempt at doing the 365 project. I shoot with canon 7d.I want to meet new people, share ideas, tips, know more about different cities,culture. All this is possible with photos. I would love to follow people and follow back those who will follow me and wouldn't mind friendly feedback and positive critism. Some tips and overall help with this site and also photography would be welcome. Want to see everyones inspiration, innovation and their world through their lens

Sorry, I had to sing that when you said Jambo, because I spent a good couple of weeks trying to teach myself and the children in my class this song for an assembly about Kenya. It was not easy!

@sakphotography welcome Shaheed! as an ace member you get more albums so if you want to post up to three photos a day that will allow you to. if you see a photo you like check that members albums to see if you like their style then follow. some will followback others won't. some follow and don't comment...everyone does it their own way! glad to have you here!

Habari za leo Shaheed. I look forward to seeing your pictures. A few years back I helped build a school near Kilifi on the coast. I have not been back to Kenya since '08 so need to get there again. It is such an amazing place.
Ngorogoro is a magical place. I was there in '01. So many animals to see there.

Welcome to 365 from the eastern side of Pennsylvania, USA. I have never been to the continent of Africa but have flown past it on my way to Israel. I had a very good friend in seminary that was from Kenya. I think she is back there now serving in some capacity at a school/orphanage. But it's been years since I've heard from her. Like you, I love learning about the different parts of the world here and it has helped me to travel abroad in my imagination when I haven't been able to in reality. The best way to navigate this site (in my humble opinion!) is to check out the popular page and click on the photos that speak to you. Leave a comment and follow. Most folks will return the follow if you leave a comment for them. That's what has worked for me and I'm in year 6 still loving it! So welcome aboard!
Count me as a follower too Shaheed. One of the great benefits of 365 is the exposure that people from all over the world treat us to. Southern California, USA here, and I look forward to seeing what you will treat us to from Kenya. And I also endorse becoming an Ace member.
