need help

Hello. I just took a picture of two kids. The lighting of the kid on the left is fine but the kid on the right is over exposed. How can I fix that on Gimp?

It depends on how badly overexposed the photo is, and if you are shooting in raw or jpeg. Once points in your photo hit pure white, there is no way to bring that back. However it might be possible to salvage if you aren't too over exposed and you shot in raw. I'm not aware of gimp's ability to edit camera raw though. If your camera shoots raw, it likely came with some software capable of editing raw.
