Critique my photos? (New to photography)

April 30th, 2011
I have recently developed a new interest in photography this past year, and i was wondering if i could get some constructive criticism on my photos?
I would really appreciate it! :)

I am fairly new to photography too. I will try to help you though. What kind of constructive criticism do you want/need? I am working on my compositional skills, so I might be able to make the most intelligent comments on these type of skills. I do not take many pictures of people. I mostly take nature photographs.

@jessicanicole you have alot of photos on your site that have a variety of things your taken pictures of, which will make it hard to give an overall critique of things, id suggest picking 1, then asking for a critique, learn from that for the overall subject your shooting. Like 1 portrait, get feedback then take another with the advice youve been given.
Some of your pics are nice, like the sun on the grave stone. but the pick could also use straightening(looks a bit crooked) and the trees around the border are fairly busy.
Other pics you seem to have focused on some other than the subject(or what i would choose as the subject. Like the house through the grass stuff, the grass has motion blur and the house isnt is focus. Or the other is a girl through a fence, the fence is in focus and not the girl.
Now this is all subjective to how i perceive the shots. Plus i am in no way a professional photographer, just giving my thoughts.
No offence intended.
