Hi Guys again,
Ever since I got my bridge camera; Fujifilm Finepix S1800 Bridge Camera, I have always depended on the auto function, I have really never used my manual functions. This is because I don't really know how to use them properly. So if anyone has any experience with this camera and uses the manual functions, then I would greatly appreciate the help in order to achieve the best photos I can.
The manual functions I have on my camera are:
-C
-M
-A
-S
-P
If anyone has any idea, on how to use them, don't hesitate to tell me, (I'm desperate).
The future of my photos is in your hands.....*Da Da DAAAAAAA
If i was you I would turn it to A and use that 99% of the time. This will give you control over your aperture so you can do things like: blur the background, get might light into the image in dark situations.
When you want to capture sports change it to S mode and turn the shutter to something faster than 1/250 of a second.
Once you figure them out you can try M, which will mean you control both the aperture and shutter at the same time.
As mentioned above, most will keep the camera settings to "A".......this actually will set the shutter speed automatically in regards to the aperture. It'll make sense after you shoot in A mode for a while. The lower the aperture setting, such as f2.8, the more light will enter into the sensor giving blurred backgrounds and such. Raising it to say f8 if the camera will allow it (sometimes you can't raise it to max due to lighting) to be much more crisp and clear. Tinker around with it for a while
i use Fujifilm HS10 and i think s1800 have same setting.. use Amode for your daily shooting you can control the Aperture ,ISO and White balance..always use ISO100 for outdoor..if the place become dark or have shade boost your ISO from 100 200 300 etc.. HS10 have great image until ISO800 or ISO1600 try to chose the correct white balance to have much greater output.. you can also use Pmode, in Pmode the Shutter (1/20- 1/xxx)and aperture (F2.8,f5.6) are automatic adjusted depends un ISO.... i start using the Mmode buy copying the setting (metering) of Pmode and automode.. for example.. i take a shot using automode then read the setting copy the setting to Mmode.. until i familiarize the setting depend on lighting condition of the place..never afraid in experimenting the exposure and setting..
