Sometimes I get to a poster's photo a day or 2 late and see there are already 125 or more comments. I don't have any thing particularly insightful to add although I may really like the picture. In this situation would you comment or skip it?
Most of the time I will skip,...just because I would only be repeating what everyone else is saying. BUT,...if I am going to "Favorite" a photo,...I feel as though I should at least comment on it!
Most of the time, if I like a photo, I will comment on it - regardless of how many people have already commented. I know that personally, I feel much more accomplished about one of my photos if I have 150 "good job" comments, than 10 or 20. The more, the better because I know I'm caught something impressing with my photo, and it gives me that extra boost I need when I am in one of my slumps.
By the way, I know I only have three photos up and that isn't a lot to use to be speaking from experience from, but I just had another page that had 86 photos, that I deleted by mistake when I was supposed to be deleting my sister's, so I just started over. :)
I usually comment anyways. I like supporting people even if I'm being redundant and "uninspired" in my critiques. I don't mind jumping on the bandwagon when I like the work.
i'll comment even if it has 1000 posts comments. i think it will boost up the confidence of the uploader and be more excited on the next post. it somehow helps encourage the person to continue the project, i guess.
I'll comment!! I love all comments i am getting, even if they come a little bit late! ;-) Sometimes it's hard to get back in time to everybody, but I always try ;-) It's a good opportunity to say, Thank you for all of your comments, Allison! I really appreciate them! ;-)

(I just wanted to stick with the "depends" thing we have going here) ;)

there's always something i like about a photo no matter how it's composed, lit or toned.
