I've been thumbing through some people's pages on 365, and I've found loads of people with very few followers who are actually quite good! Has anyone found any great photographers on here that you think could use some recognition?
@lauraroy not at all! I looked through his and your stuff, and I think both of you are great! You both have 1 new follower! (:
@cmc1200 I was actually looking through some of your stuff when I posted this thread because your project was one of the ones that I thought of! I really particularly liked today's shot that you did with the ghost hand (: @isaloha, I love the simplicity of your pictures (: Thanks Caryn!
I just wanted to see some more great photographers that might not be on the popular page every other day because they don't have as many followers....
I will have to come back to this when I'm not on a mobile device! I have a long list of under appreciated photogs! I've been disappointed with the popular page, either the same shot stays on for days and days or the same photog gets a picture up 3/4 days in a row. It's not that I don't like the pictures, but there are a lot of deserving people here!
@ariananeala That's exactly how I feel! I'd love to see some new faces because I'm sick of seeing some people just because they have a lot of followers... I'm not saying that the ones with a lot of followers aren't great too, but I just want to see a variety of styles! (:
I am new too and I try to check out as many people as I can. I follow different people for different styles and from diff areas of the country. I love seeing other parts of the world through someone elses lense!
people with no followers tend to just post a photo a day, and not be interested in the community side. I used to ffeel really sad about people sending out a pic a day to no comments, but then I realised you get out what you put in. good for you showing their pics though.
@chewyteeth I'm a newbie and after a few days of no-one looking at my photos I posted something on the message boards and suddenly got tons of people looking, commenting and following (even got a photo picked by the monkeys on the popular page)....it was the best thing I did
and I so believe you get out what you put in, I am hooked on this community of ours !
@sharonaddison yep, a good discussion will get you lots of interest, (and a bad discussion will get you more arguably - controversial sometimes works) but the old thing works, follow one person you get one back, comment on a person you get a comment back...well done for PP. That's still a bloody mystery after 13 months, you can get 25 views and 5 favs and get on, in December I got 370 views and 30 likes on a pic and it was on there for about an hour, whilst other 365ers pictures of their kids get stuck on their for weeks.
@chewyteeth I have said this before but there is really no formula (or conspiracy) regarding the PP. I think a picture has to be popular with members of 365 AND popular with the MMs. They have the last word, which I think is a good thing because they can be more impartial than your followers who sometimes may be praising your pic so you praise theirs. Also, they decide how long a photo stays on PP simply to make room for new ones coming in. The ones already there have to measure up against newcomers in order not to be kicked out too early. My two cents.
@sharonaddison Thank you for saying so, but I don't understand how I can be on my second year of this project and still have under 40 followers when others haven't even been here a month and have over 100. I've done everything that was recommended to try and get followers and nothing has worked. So it must be the photographer.
@prttblues don't put yourself down - are you actively following others? commenting on others ? I find that if i follow people they often follow me back and comment as I do...I'm new here so not sure if you are actively commenting on threads ? Making sure you do the challenges, that helps as well
Hey, thanks to everyone who took the time to share some great folks to watch. I'm new and it's great to have a lot of other people who started right around the same time I did this year to watch. Although after looking at some of these pics, I may just throw my camera out the window. :) Thanks!

@aricmartin - I love that some of your pictures look like they could be drawings! And being from Indiana, I appreciate the agrarian emphasis (:
