This may sound a bit silly but what is a danbo? I have seen heaps of pics of them and I think they're really cool. i was thinking if it is worth buying one?
Danbo is from a Japanese Manga comic.. Aimed at children. A little girl in the story builds a play friend called Danboard out of Amazon cardboard boxes.. And Danbo comes to life.
Danbo's are officially only released to the Japenese market, so they are very hard to get hold of, and can be expensive.. My second one took 3 months to arrive from pre ordering in Japan.
You can find them on ebay, but generally have to pay a fair bit for them.
As to worth buying? it depends what you want from him, there is nothing that he can do that another characters may not be able to do. People use different characters all the time... so its your personal taste. There are several people on 365 who now have him, so its worth searching the photos with his tag to see whats been done already, which you will find is actually quiet a lot..
Double edged sword with no right or wrong answer I am afraid, I am glad I did buy him, but given the amount of shots that are now done with him, I dont think i would buy one fo photography purposes. Just my opinion, others may feel much different.
I would keep an eye on eBay. I can't remember what I paid for mine but it was left than half of the going price at the time. I think the seller made a mistake because he had several listed and they all sold out within the day.
I found a web site that you can download a template of Dandbo and make him out of card stock, if you want let me know and I will post the link, at work at moment and dont have the link here.
