no harm in asking :)

Hi everyone,

For anyone that follows me on 365, you are probably aware that my mum was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. It's actually the reason that I started this project, because I wanted to document her progress and recovery over the course of this year.

Anyways, this July I am participating in the SunWalk 2012, where I will power walk 10k across London wearing just a bra on the top half. I was thinking of who to ask for sponsorship, when the idea of the 365 community popped into my head. Sorry if it's horribly inappropriate, but I thought that there was no harm in asking, just in case one or two people would be interested.

I figured that there may be some people here who know what I'm going through and would like to donate a couple of pounds to help fund breast cancer research, and also to support those that are suffering now.

If so, the website to donate is: http://www.walkthewalkfundraising.org/lyns_buddies

Please leave your username in the comment box, and I will of course follow you and comment on your photos as a thank you :)

Thanks all!
Stevie xx

You've got a wee bit from me. I work with cancer patients (and am doing the full moonwalk myself - eeek!) so anyone who puts in effort like this regardless of how they are affected personally gets my support.

I have a very close friend who has battled breast cancer twice & beaten it so I would be honoured to support your cause...perhaps, if it's ok with you, I could post this on my facebook page?
Love & hugs to you & your mum

@winshez - thank you! Yes, that would be amazing if you could spread the word :) I'm so happy to hear that your friend has beaten it twice, and I am waiting for the day when my mum can say that she is officially cancer-free. I'm going to show her this thread to cheer her up :) xx

It seems to me like your Mum has lots of love & support which is the most important thing needed to beat this. Well done xx
