Top 20

Sorry if this has been posted, I had a search but could not really find much.
Do the top 20 have to be taken/posted in that week? Or is is top votes for that week.
I did have a photo I had hoped may get in but the favs where over a few day (end of week start of another)
All the photos in the top 20 are stunning and very much deserve to be there. I was just a little curious and must admit a little disappointed.
I do do this project for me but it would have been nice ;)

I had the same thing- too late for one week- but didnt make 2nd week either. More Favs but didnt happen. Great photo though!

@5unflow3r I think it is a pity that your Looking for Love photo didn't get into Top 20 in either week 99 or 100. i wrote to Ross recently to ask him about how it works cos it is complex. I think that your favs might have been split across two weeks, and only counted for the weeks they are cast in rather than cumulatively. Just a guess. It was a beautiful photo

@peterdegraaff I agree with your guess, I think that is what happened to my pic (36 favs), the favs where over a few days from the end of one week into another .
I am just happy that my pic got that many favs, is my highest so far :)

@peterdegraaff Yes, @gurry explained it that way to me. C'est la vie. I too am really pleased about the faves just the same. It's been a lovely ride, as they say, and I got some nice new followers as well. It's all good.

the split week scenario happened to me just this week but mine was a bit more of a squeaker ..... no where near 60 favs. i posted it on a thursday. i can't tell from peter's comment if he actually got a reply from ross. it would be nice to know for sure from ross that this is why certain popular pics are being excluded from the top 20.
