Can any 365ers recommend a good watermark program, preferably attractive (decorative), easy to apply and free. Any good advise would be greatly appreciated.
er, not really a watemark per se, but i've used the text function in picnik (picnik.com) where you can upload and edit your photos too. free and very easy to use. :) (it's the one i used to edit and watermark this photo: http://365project.org/nellycious/365/2010-07-24
you can use picnik.. or gimp, any editing software that will allow you to use the text function.. for decorative, i suggest you try using gimp, it allows you to make 'brushes' that can be used for watermarking..
Judiff, how did you get yours then? I have tried picnik and gimp but I must be dumb cause I aint getting it! I am in short supply of patience. I need someone to do it for me, LOL
All you need to do is open the photo in GIMP, and add a new layer over it (the layers window should be on the right). Then you either cut-and-paste a logo in (if you have the logo as a text file) or you can use the text tool to write some text instead. Then you can make the watermark see through using the "opacity" setting of the layer.
I don't use a watermark, but it's pretty easy to make one in photoshop too. Same process as with GIMP. You must adjust the Opacity of the text/ logo - that's the important part.
I am also looking for a watermark, (preferably a logo!)
Picnik is ok for a text watermark, but any advice on adding a logo?
