Picnik's back but it's now called ribbet

June 23rd, 2012
For anyone who missed it when it went away this is an exact replica of the old picnik, with all the same features and the premium features are free when you register. Here's the link

No way!
June 23rd, 2012
wow! thanks for the heads up - have registered again, it's free to register for a while. Am very very happy with PicMonkey, but always good to have a few different options I say !
June 23rd, 2012
it certainly looks the same - thanks for the link
June 23rd, 2012
yay!
June 23rd, 2012
I was looking forward to this site being set up but for some reason I can't get into it. Maybe it doesn't work for Macs.
June 23rd, 2012
Woohoo! Thanks for letting me know. :)
June 23rd, 2012
@psychographer oh hooray!! I like Picmonkey and iPiccy and will continue to use them but there are days when I just need to laugh at what the hypnotic effect does to a photo!!
June 23rd, 2012
@kjarn It works fine on my iMac
June 23rd, 2012
Yipeee! I just registered.
June 23rd, 2012
Hmmm, here I thought PicMonkey was the new Picnic...must go check it out!!! Thanks!
June 23rd, 2012
Well that is going to be so cool. I was getting to like PicMonkey, but lately I have had problems with the program, freezing up, taking forever, and if it contiues like that, I do not think it is worth the $19.95. Thanks for the heads up!
June 23rd, 2012
@5unflow3r wonder what the problem is for me then, interesting.
June 23rd, 2012
@digitalrn I've been using picmonkey for free. What do you get for $19.95?
June 23rd, 2012
Thanks for letting us know - but I'm very happy with Picmonkey now :)
June 23rd, 2012
Yay for the return of Picnik in disguise!
June 23rd, 2012
@hopess13 it is. Picmonkey it's the "new" picnick made by some of the coders of the previous Picnick that wanted to continue developing such a great app, and not in Google (fuc***g google that closes picnick ¬¬ )

@psychographer Brilliant!! Was just browsing my old shots trying to think what on earth I usually do in a month (!) and saw an old kaleidoscope pattern... really missed that and the 'doodle' feature too. Very pleased with picmonkey (esp now they are adding more) but delighted to be able to access Ribbet. Thank you so much for the heads-up. mwah!
June 23rd, 2012
@kjarn I can't get on to it either and I'm using a Mac
June 23rd, 2012
Thanks for this :)
June 23rd, 2012
@allie912 The ads pop up that you will be paying 19.95 for the premium products like you did to become an Ace member before. Right now it's free, but they are telling us the charge is coming

Re: Macs.....on my computer 10.6, it works in Safari (5.1.2) but not in Chrome (v.19). Maybe try another browser?
June 23rd, 2012
@houser934 my Mac is version 10.7 and I'm using Safari 5.1.7 and can't get into it
June 23rd, 2012
Of course, this is WAY too addictive. I could spend hours playing around in there.
June 23rd, 2012
Thank you for letting us know. I went ahead and registered, but probably won't pay for premium this time around since I have so many options with Picmonkey, ipiccy, fotoflexer and be funky for free. However, there are some things that will be fun to be able to use again.
June 23rd, 2012
@juliehill try Opera, it works perfect for me with Opera
June 23rd, 2012
@kjarn How old us your Mac's operating system? Seriously, my only major complaint about Mac is that you do need the go the OS upgrades or things won't run on your Mac, and eventually you can't even upgrade the stuff you already have running. Luckily the OS upgrades are not insanely priced like, say, getting windows 7 or something. I'm running Lion
June 23rd, 2012
YAY! I've missed Adjustable Threshold!
June 23rd, 2012
@5unflow3r my Mac is only 6 months old and yep I'm running Lion and will upgrade to Mountain Lion when it gets released in July.
June 24th, 2012
Thanks for the link! I think I started using Picnik when it was closing down, so have only been using Picmonkey, will have to try this one out
June 24th, 2012
Thanks for sharing this. I was getting used to picmonkey, but I just tried ribbet and it is exactly the same as picnic, which I was already very familiar with. It's nice to have more options.
June 25th, 2012
That's awesome, I've had to settle for PicMonkey for online editing, not a bad site but definately miss Picnik AKA Ribbet now. Thank you!!
