A script to download all your 365 photos

July 18th, 2012
So I wanted to download all my 365 photos to date... and it seems you cant very easily. So I wrote a script that makes it super easy!

For Pro users you can also download you originals. For everyone else just the large version im afraid.

This works on a Mac and requires a little technical knowledge to run it. If you have a PC then find someone with a Mac ;-)

Or save them in a folder as you load them?
July 18th, 2012
@gphelps5 Ah, yes, but that would require a time machine, which I don't have time to build at the moment ;-)

Thanks James - I know someone you needs this info urgently!! @joanbasson

What a cool thing to do. Now, if someone will just do it for a PC. LOL I don't think I know anyone with a Mac.

@henrir well, if you wanted it run for you just shout

Shout! Are you volunteering? People are so helpful on this site. I am always amazed.

@henrir Let me know what shots you want (album and date from/to) and ill download them for you. Without logging in as you I can only grab the large images though (not your originals)

Well, I only have about two months, so it would probably be better to wait until I have more. I think I would love to have the whole year after I get there. I appreciate your offer to help. You are so sweet to help. I won't ask just now though. But I've got you on my radar for later.

Has this been converted to run for pc? Bueller, bueller?! Kudos to all the mac folks, I'm just still behind the times with my platform :)

@twocups now thats using your noggin' I am sure a man of your abilities can work on a PC version. oh and can you work out a way of replying to all?

@twocups forgive an ignorant PC user with only a smattering of linux know how. I am runnig into a few problems on the mac mini I have borrowed for the purpose. GIT is just not recognised from my Terminal Window. If I download the script and chmod it various ( ) are thrown out.
Could you review the install read me? Or is there a requirement for a certain version of mac OS or installed software? Apologies if I am asking something obvious.

@twocups Hi man can you write a mass download script for Windows too ;)

@twocups

Hi James,

I've tried running the script in bash with cygwin on windows, but the linux mods you suggest don't seem correct e.g. some possible mix up with single and double quotes on the dates ? I'm trying to tie it down, but in the meantime, if you have a working linux script and can upload it to github, that would be great !
I'll keep plugging away to get something working, but I'm a bit of a scriptimg neophyte.
Thanks !

@twocups

Update on using your script with cygwin on Windows, after the linux mods. In a nutshell, it works great, including the pro cookie option ! I think the cygwin version on the machine I tried first was a bit flakey.

So thanks again James.
