We had so much fun with this the last time around! I hope those of you who wanted to join in last time get the chance this go around!
Ive been so caught up with stresses of daily life lately I have let the one thing that releases my stress take the back seat...taking photo's! There is nothing better to get your blood pumping than a good one night stand, or maybe seven! :o) Here's the challenge;
I found an article on photography styles. I randomly picked seven, one for every day of the week. (see where this is going) The challenge is to do a different style of photography every day for a week. Just one post of one style per day. After you post the first on the list you move on to the next, love em' and leave em' ! ;)
Here is the list:
Lets start on Monday, Sept 24th. Its fun to start on the same day so we all can feel each others struggles! (not that there will be) :) Tag your pics ONS2. Have fun and maybe every morning we might get a note on our pillow! ;o)
@jsw0109 I threw them in a hat and picked blindly! There were a few that I was really excited about that didn't even get picked! @nikkic Yay! I'm excited to do it again! :)
Ooh, think I might try this cos I like someone telling me what to do! But panning? Yikes I'm with @hopess13 !! Can you do this without a tripod? (Note to self: it's high-time!)
@tulipgirl
You definately do not want a tripod for panning!! I only managed this the other day, and you have to follow the car/bike/runner with your camera and snap!!
Sheez. I'm going to give this a go but... Monday??? I dont much care for Monday any time but this Monday and panning? I've never done it so I'm off to sit on my front steps and practice I guess. I'm not sure about Thursday either but the others might be okay. Oh my what have I got myself in to :)
I'm going to give a try again. The fashion shoot might be a little difficult since my resident fashionista is away at college, and she sure didn't get her clothing obsession from me!
@tabithasyear I know, me too! To be honest, when I picked that one out of the hat, I threw it back in and then picked it again! So I had no choice but to list it! :o)
@lisjam1 don't worry, fashion can be a hand holding something or shoes... I don't even think a person has to be in the shot? Or am I wrong about that? :)
This sounds like it really will be a challenge for me- my camera doesn't like to pan and I live in the woods. And, what is fashion? (o: Will definitely be firing up the creative brain cells for this one.
can't wait to take on a challenge being new with 365 this will be my first one and how fun. Had to Google some of the required shots but I'm good now LOL
Day 1 Monday Panning - I'm not sure whether I have done this correctly. I used the panorama setting on my camera and haven't worked out how to bring this up for full view on here although it can be viewed on my camera but this is the first time I have done this. Let me know if I have got this wrong
@orangecrush No, you’re not wrong about fashion not having to be a person. I just meant I’m not exactly one who keeps up with fashion. I guess it’s in the eye of the beholder anyway!
So that was an experience. I have posted a panning pic and now I want to hide under the first rock I come to. It's sooc and a total disaster. I am going to have to practice and practice some more to master this!! Looking forward to tomorrow...Food :)
@lisjam1 Just remember fashion is not only about today. There is the fashion from the 1920's, fashion from the 1960's and so on. If you want fashion from today head out to the mall and photograph a mannequin or two. What about fashions of photography - what's the latest fad for processing. Would that be considered fashion also? It's an interesting challenge. I'm looking forward to today but not so much Wednesday. I was reading about perspective and I'm just not sure what I am going to do.
I did a panning shot yesterday and the focus was spot on, but the subject was just so "meh, *yawn*", so I didn't upload it... in fact, I didn't even keep it. I deleted it from my camera before importing from camera to computer. the shots with an interesting subject and background didn't look any better than my first panning shot that I uploaded back in August, so I didn't see the point in uploading. I have an idea for food and and it would be something very different, and yet I think I can do it with the "Jeff" touch, so I anticipate uploading a food shot tonight
@orangecrush I have multiple ideas, actually. One is to attempt to mix my get pushed challenge with the food shot, but I'm not counting on that one turning out at all. One involves setting food on fire, but the one I'll probably end up with will be very artsy (the "Jeff" touch)
@orangecrush oh dear.. i'm starting to go thru my feed to comment and there are all these food shots... can i just very quietly say that i don't much like pictures of food... no matter how well done they are... i have a major food aversion... yike!
Oh Jerry, I've been absent from 365 since July and missing it so much. When I saw on FB some chatter that you started a new week long challenge, I couldn't resist checking it out. It made me laugh that food was the topic for yesterday, since food is just about the only thing I've been photographing lately (I'm a food writer so it was all work related). I hope all is well with you...
@lauriehiggins Laurie! So good to see you! I'm glad you stopped by to check it out! :) I hope things are good! Would love to see one of your yummy food shots!
Just thought I'd post this one here so that I could say I just looked through the photos for this challenge and there are some awesome shots in there!!
ONS2 urban - This is more like it - I don't mind taking pics in town although I am a bit more wary of taking pics of people. Biggleswade market square featuring the Surfin Cafe
@orangecrush I've since cropped it in my Even More album as I didn't have time earlier and tomorrow's pic SOOC should be easy as I don't ususally edit them anyway. Where is Salvang CA?
@rosiekind Its a little Dutch town just east of Santa Barbara in CA, USA. All the buildings look just like your picture. Lots of windmills and cobble stone paths! The best part is its in the middle of wine country!

I don't very often edit my pics so this was an easy challenge for me today and I hope you like this very pretty pink rose that is growing in my garden. I took this before going out this morning. It has been a very grey day so I used the cloudy setting on my camera but I think the rose is very cheery
Well our challenge has come to an end. Thanks Jerry for hosting the challenge. I had a blast!!! It was a great way to "meet" new folks at 365 and see other parts of the world. I think I need a rest for a week so I can get some house work done and prepare for Thanksgiving weekend :)
oops, after Thursday I forgot all about this! I was so busy working on my Get Pushed challenge and finding my first stranger for the 100 Strangers project and celebrating James Dean's life at the James Dean festival that I completely forgot I was doing this too. :(
Hey Jerry... any thought of bringing this back sometime earliesh in the new year? i know a bunch of new folks will join 365 in January and won't have a clue what it's about... but those of us who have been around for a while (well, me for one!) will likely feel the doldrums in jan and feb, especially in the northern hemisphere... i expect i could certainly use the crazy fun of another one night stand challenge!
@nikkic Yay! I'm excited to do it again! :)

Unfortunately, she's now living 300+ miles away from me, so it's a little difficult to do a quick fashion shoot with her.
@kiwichick Yay! I'm glad your in, Lesley! :)
@peterdegraaff Lol! I hope you do! ;o)
@salza We had so much fun the first time! I'm glad your in, Sally!

I still love what you've come up with and it's a great alternative take on panning!
ONS2 This is something I don't usually photograph so it is unusual for me
There is definately food there....even healthy food!!
So peaceful and something I like to capture frequently

@egad cute!
@jsw0109 love it!
Taken in BHS today as part of the ONS2 challenge - fashion (which is far away from my usual subject!)
ONS2 challenge - abstract. This is certainly something I would not usually do but I have had a go so hope you like it
