Still don't see it, I guess it's only there for non-ace members, thus is advertising-related? You running AdBlock or similar?

Also this: it's 300px wide, which is the exact width of industry standard MPU advertising placements. We may have our answer.

Yep, it's adverts... :)

I am running AdBlock Plus (you can see the icon in my screenshot - top right, next to the search bar) which is why the box is blank... I switched ABP off, and voilá! Adverts!
