Apologies if this has been posted before, but not many things bring a smile to my face at 6am (especially on a weekend morning that I had promised myself a lie in, but couldn't sleep), but this did:
Some friends got a great deal on a house because of terrible Realtor pictures. The pictures on the website were the back side of the garage instead of the 180 degree high bank waterfront view.
If you want to see the ultimate in creative selling photography, try this one from here in the UK.
This was the agents picture
Described by estate agents as a 'property not to be missed', they rather absent-mindedly omitted to inform prospective buyers the three-bedroom home was a stone's throw from the looming presence of the Dungeness A and B Nuclear power plants.
Photographed for a less 'imaginative' angle you get this:
Those are priceless! We just sold our house and I fully believe that it was due to the excellent work done by the real estate photographer that was hired. She was worth her weight in gold. In fact, if I didn't already live in the house, I'd want to buy it!
Did the photo's for my son's house myself - wouldn't trust an estate agent to do anything right, let alone take a photograph. They should be kept away from sharp objects
OK some of these are disturbing in a "don't go view this house alone" kind of way.
I've seen some compilations of things on Ebay kind of like this. I wonder how many 365 shots have been taken by people who are less than fully clothed, best not to know.
@styru Oh no, imagine the people who thought they had found their dream home and turned up to view that. A gorgeous house recently sold in our village, but not until it had been viewed many times. The details didn't show the forty steps from your car to the front garden.
@mandyj92 excellent! Not much in the way of info there is there?
