How To Follow A Discussion Thread???

January 4th, 2014
Is there a simple way to mark a discussion thread as a favorite, so that it can be easily retrieved ... without having to put it in my browser bookmarks? Thanks in advance to all the experienced folks who read and answer the huge volume of newbie questions at this time of year, and the rest of the year, too!

I haven't figured it out in two years; I sure would like to know too! Great question!

I'm on Safari and have the option to bookmark or add to reading list. Otherwise haven't come across a way and have had to go through pages of discussion titles when a. Search hasn't pulled up the one I have been looking for.

If you have created the discussion, you will get a notification every time someone posts, but there isn't a way to 'subscribe' to someone else's post, that I know of. Perhaps it's a feature that could be added, but bookmarking is a good work around. @scrivna

I like that idea--a way to follow a post.

Yep—it's a quirk of the site that searches don't always glean the thread you're looking for. Unless someone has a better idea, I'd suggest what you intuited from the start: bookmark it.

Sounds like a feature request worth pursuing @Scrivna.

I also think this would be a great idea. A simple 'Follow' tick box would be great.

@Scrivna Yes, please, Ross! Would love to get notifications when there is activity on a thread that I have participated in or simply marked as Follow.

Bookmarking doesn't work for me because I would have to check each bookmark to see if there is new activity. I miss out on most of the challenge results because I forget to look them up later. I am much better at keeping up with email notifications.

I know this is an old post but, absolutely, a "Follow" tick box would be awesome for forum discussions! @Scrivna
