Winding down

April 16th, 2014
A dwindling phojo combined with ever increasing "to do list" has made me re evaluate my time spent particularly in the evenings commenting and enjoying all your wonderful shots. I am not going to leave the site completely, I love this community too much for that, however I am going to wind down somewhat. I will post when time will allow and when I manage to get that "squirrel in the basket" shot!! A huge Thank you for all of you who tirelessly comment on my posts and your amazing favs. I will post in Instagram just so I don't lose interest in photography whilst not posting. Would love to see you there ( if you don't feel treacherous http://instagram.com/dolittlepics hope you all have a wonderful Easter and see you again in a bit xx

Ah Lucy, I feel your frustration! This is exactly where I am right now too, though I can't leave either! Hopefully a little time with the foot off the pedal will reignite the 365 flame. Your shots are always gorgeous and I look forward to them whenever I sign in. Happy Easter. X

I appreciate how time consuming this site is, I have wound down a great deal on the site; I shall miss your most fabulous shots I am not on instagram.
Happy a wonderful Easter and good luck with the squirrel shot:0)

This is the reason I have not been able to complete one full year from start to finish. I get to mid year and realise I need to concentrate on other things. A break can be a good thing. I look forward to seeing you when you do post :) Happy Easter to you too.

Lucy, I know we often joke about our 'parallel lives' but I know exactly where you are coming from. In fact I have often been amazed that you still seem to maintain the same amount of input and inspiration as you always have while mine has been slowly dwindling of late.

Perhaps it's a two-and-a-bit years thing, or something to do with the age of our kids. I have only posted three photos so far this month and have hardly any time or energy for commenting in the evenings. Like you, I am not going to dip out completely but wait patiently until my 'phojo' comes back, which I am sure it will, and continue to only post here on odd occasions until it does.

Have a great, pressure-free Easter. xx

@jantan so lovely to have a soul mate. I do keep looking at your page and see you have been having a break. Instagram is quite good as you can post with no pressure and it keeps my interest in actually taking photographs. I fear I would hang up my camera if i didn't post.

Will miss your great shots Lucy but totally understand where you are coming from, sometimes this all gets a bit much! Look forward to seeing the squirrel in the basket shot and in the meantime take care and have a Happy Easter

I will miss you and your beautiful images - hope to see you here on occasion - will keep your instagram info - even though I don't have it at the moment I have thought about getting it
April 16th, 2014
Aww lucy! I'll miss you so I'm heading right over to instagram to follow you! It is pressure free over there for sure! x
April 16th, 2014
Take all the time you need, Lucy! Real life takes priority and we'll be here when you need us.
April 16th, 2014
Ah Lucy, I understand what you're saying too, but boy will I miss your wonderful shots! It is a fairly all-consuming habit, this 365, especially when life gets hectic. Looking forward to squirrel in a basket though!!!!!

Your beautiful shots will be greatly missed but I too understand where you are at - sometimes life just has to come first. Good luck with your 'to do' list and hopefully we'll see you back here in the future.

I will miss your shots and seeing the world through your eyes. Hope you get some rest and come back soon.

I completely understand! That's where I am this year. I can't commit at the same level as my year one project but want to stay somewhat connected. It's funny how this place grabs ahold of us (or we of it!) and it's hard to let go. Taking a break and/or slowing down your project is wonderful though - you suddenly have so much more time for other parts of your life, for projects, and more time to learn about photography, too.

All that said, you will be terribly missed here. You are such a 365 presence both for your amazing photography as well as your faithful & generous commenting. Thanks for being such an inspiration. It's been a joy to be one of your followers.

I am not on Instagram but am curious how it works. Do you post from your phone or your regular camera?

I will miss your wonderful shots Lucy but can understand completely. I have cut back on the time i spend on 365 although I am still trying to post every day. Life takes over sometimes and you just have to stand back and take a breath. I am sure this will pass and we will see you back on here. It is such a lovely supportive site with so many wonderful people - I would miss it too much to leave completely. Take care and happy Easter!!

@jesperani @claireuk @bella_ss @jantan @paulaw @annied @mei_photography @timandelke @jamibann @joeymc @teiko @pflaume @pamknowler aww thank you all my lovely friends, you see this is exactly why I couldn't leave, and as you say Lisa, we are all so what connected. Instagram Lisa works the same way, you upload from your photo album you gain followers and likes but no obligation to keep it up. Just got a shot of ducks swimming in our pool so doubt it will be long before I am itch g to get back xx

Lucy, going to miss you loads, I love your photography. So glad you are not leaving completely :)
April 16th, 2014
Do hope you post when the right shot hits you - I do so enjoy your photography but understand completely You will be missed by this girl for sure.
April 16th, 2014
How can I not have found you before? Though you are slowing down, I hope to take time to enjoy your albums anyway. Have fun in your away time, but don't stray too far.
April 16th, 2014
Will definitely miss your shots but will follow Instagram, I have an account but never post, no time but after my year here is complete (very soon), i will probably do the same and explore other avenues too. Good luck, will look forward to your occasional pictures and enjoy life !!

Lucy!!!! I totally understand where you are coming from, I have been there twice last year and am stoically and stubbornly keeping up with a strict photo-a-day this year as it is my 60th....... But I shall miss you, we have been followers and friends from almost the beginning, I'm sad we never managed to meet up although I still hope that you, your mum, me and Fanny might get together for old times sake. I wish you every success and I hope to see some of your photos on cards in the shops before too long..... Take care, enjoy Instagram and your photography, Jackie, x

Totally understand your need of a break Lucy and you so deserve it. You and your photos are such a delight to follow and you are so kind and generous with your participation on everyone's projects. As a once a weeker now I seem to have found a balance I can cope with, but it is quite hard to withdraw at first. Enjoy the slower pace, but I do hope we will see you and your wonderful shots from time to time. x

Hi Lucy, as you know I have been in the 'winding down' faze for several weeks now and once you are in it, it's pretty hard to get out of, not helped by the fact that my PC died last week and my new one won't arrive for another two so that has put an end to any photo uploading/viewing/editing, but on the up side I have had time to sort through my images and have even got some pics framed and hanging on my wall which is all down to 365. I too hope that I might return to this site but as you know this is a busy time of year for me so I have to prioritise but I do hope that you continue to take photos as you are extremely talented and have a real gift, perhaps we will see each other here in time or get together which would be lovely, anyways take cake and keep in touch x

Ps, just looked at your Instagram page, looks amazing, I must look into setting something like this up myself.

@lucypic

You have lovely shots but I can understand the time required to keep up with 365 plus other commitments must be difficult. Look forward to seeing your shots when you post and have bookmarked your instagram account - might join myself!
April 16th, 2014
@jo13 take cake!! Love it ! That is exactly what a feel like doing. I will be back but need a breather. Actually off for a spa break tomorrow and really feel I need it. I will always be in touch with you lovely xxx
April 16th, 2014
@quietpurplehaze you should, it encourages photography to continue but is much less demanding.

Jo
