I know some of my followers/people I'm following have get pushed partners.... But how does it work? How do you get one? How do you find one? Please can anyone explain to me. Thanks.
Basically you get a partner (@northy sorts them out) and then you issue a challenge for him/her and he/she issues a challenge for you. This can include techniques, pictures with special colours, moods.. anything you can come up with and is related to photography :D
Then you have 1 week time to take a (or more) pictures hat fit the challenge. You tag them "get-pushed-xx" (number of competition) and the next week someone chooses the best 5 pictures for voting. The one who wins, is allowed to chose the pictures in the next week :)

As a relatively new comer to get pushed I have to say its great fun. The idea is to take you outside of you comfort zone and try something new.
The view I take when setting my challenges is not to be too specific e.g. Take a photo of a one legged duck on a bike! Give your partner a chance and allow them to interpret it as they wish. I always look at my partners work over several months as you can usually see what they like to take and then find something they could try. Remember, not everyone has the same amount of time, equipment, or is the same age and as a world wide community you may be in one season and your partner another, so there is no point setting anything that an average person cannot attempt. It is also polite to comment on you partners attempt at your challenge but don't be rude even if they did a rubbish job, it was their attempt. You can always learn something from you challenge even if it's that you don't like the type of photo you were asked to take, but Above all, have fun doing it.
