This image is not mine.My friend in the real world @flutterby22 had this nest of mourning doves right outside her bathroom window! She has some sweet photos of them in her albums.

SOOO awesome!

This one is one of my favorite parenting photos I took with mockingbird parent and offspring:



I love these wrens too (in that WRECK of a bird house—it was a miracle they survived at all):




And finally, parenting involves cleaning up a lot after the offspring, like cleaning up the poop, like, a lot of poop. Gotta give it to wrens—this parent was a trooper.

Mom at one end and dad bushtit at the other, with six babies in between. My mouth actually fell open when I saw them and it was a few minutes before I ran for my camera!
