This is mine, simply because I think it's the best photo I've taken this week.
I'm going to go with yesterday's hummingbird shot because you can see the little lady's tongue. However it is very grainy, so if anyone has any suggestions on how to make it less so, that would be great!
My favorite from this week is this one - i have a thing for bikes, ride them, collect them big and small. It was getting dark when I shot this, I just like the light and the little bit of bokeh.
This was my favourite. I liked it from the moment I saw it on the camera and couldn't wait to get home to a computer to share it.

Mostly because of the experience. A new camera, that was (and still is) totally new to me for these conditions. So figuring out how to use it was a bit of an adventure. And because this particular location had elements of many other places I've explored, but at the same time vastly different.
This is my favorite because i love the way the sky was reflected in the water and the tree silhouettes. It was a perfect ending to a great day of canoeing!
I picked this one, because 1. taking portraits is not a strength for me and 2. animals move around a lot, so I am not good at shooting them. I liked the details in the cat's eyes.
@mej2011 I noticed in the original post you said that you had done a lot of editing so I'm assuming that you have some sort of photo editing program, if so, it might have a noise reduction filter that you could try to make the image smoother, but doing so may tend to blur some of the details that you worked so hard to pull up. You could maybe mask out the bird so that it keeps sharper detail while the background is smoother.
@mej2011 I see that the ISO is 1600 for the hummingbird shot. That isn't a problem for scenery usually but I have found it's often a problem with little guys like hummingbirds. They are so small that any grain can have an effect.
I was out for a walk with camera to calm down after an infuriating meeting at work. I saw this on the street & loved it (after manuevering around a van to get it), loved it in the camera, and love it here.
Guess me fav from last week is this, because I often have trouble with insects getting the wings and the head in focus in the same shot and I've more or less done it here, and I also like the setting on the white flower.

Because the tiny butterfly bush I planted last year has grown and brought me so much joy this year.
I was really pleased with the processing on this shot.

Thanks! I have Photoshop Elements 12 and Photoscape.
Thank you. I've tried as low as 800 for the ISO, but I think anything else than that would not turn out well either.
