Catching up advice needed

November 14th, 2014
I've taken a break and haven't posted since early September. However I have continued taking my daily photo.
How can I best catch up and bring my project up to date and continue without clogging up the system with multiple downloads.
Any advice would be very gratefully recieved. Thanks

When I was on vacation, I missed a week of uploads for my 2 albums and I don't want to flood my follower's feed with my late uploads. So I uploaded them on dates which I missed and set it to private. That way it will not show up on their feeds. After a week, I edited them day by day to set them to public views. I think it worked.

I would post three or four at a time and then wait a few hours and do the same. Over a few weeks you will fill all your slots if you post twice a day. Just an idea

Thanks, I had a suspicion that might be the best way. I've already posted a few this morning. Thanks for replying

Alta's suggestion is the best way @altadc Then you won't clog up your followers' feeds.

If you set the photos to private mode to start, you can change it anytime after they're posted that way and they won't show up in your followers feed. I am still far behind after a few months hiatus. Sometimes I fill in a week on private mode and put the current shots in regular. Next day I change the mode to public when I post that days' photos.

good idea with the private mode. I feel with a baby at home I am constantly behind on uploading pics.

Not sure the "private mode" concept works. I've a couple of friends that have tried that, but I've still been flooded. If it were me, I'd post 3 per day until I got caught up. Waiting a few hours between them doesn't help, especially if folks only check the site one or twice a day. So 3 per day until caught up.

I agree Anita and Russell. When I fall behind I just do a couple at a time to prevent a deluge on the latest page and then a couple more later...

I got caught up from our move by posting a few at a time every couple of hours. I had a month's worth of photos for 3 albums to catch up on.

I just wonder why you want to fill the gap? I completed a full year but now I miss a few days here and there and leave it at that. If I can't for whatever reason post and comment on a particular day I just move on and it feels fine.

I tend to agree with @dolphin . I've missed a few days lately because I've had other obligations. I'm just now starting again with today and going on from here. If I have a day in the future with lots of shots I want to post, I'll plug them in the blank spots. If not, not. ;)

I got behind earlier this month and chose to post a couple at a time spread throughout day - mostly twice a day but sometimes a late night on also

@dolphin I don't know why I want to fill the gaps either, I just do.
