Just be who you are...

For those who sometimes struggle with their project or those who want to earn a living with photography.

The first video is a slap on the face, but it is important to understand. So listen to it and go to the next.

The second is an inspiring video of Benjamin Von Wong. It is an inspiration for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-BJuWfO0aU

The last video is just to show you that you do not need to have professional equipment to be a good photographer. You just need your brain ...

I hope this post has given you a little boost when you need it!

thanks for sharing these Marc - didn't really need the first as for the most part I am comfortable taking photos for me even when it is images others have taken - I love Ben Von Wong - didn't watch all the 2nd but will go back and do so and loved the last video - it is indeed in the eye and the talent not the equipment

Sue
Great videos, thanks. I agree with Annie though, I am comfortable taking photos just for me.

@daneau Thank you for posting this, they will be very useful.

I'm about to start studying photography, it's something I really want to do even though I know I don't really need that bit of paper. I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing and I really hope the pressure doesn't give me"photographers block". I'm scared I will loose sight of why I love photography so much in the first place.

@daneau I totally agree, but you also need a good eye! I just wish I had found my love of, and for, photography twenty years ago!

Thanks, Marc, for the interesting articles. The first one was original about 3,000 years ago when Ecclesiastes was written, even though there weren't 7 billion people around then. There truly is nothing new under the sun. BUT, it's new for each of us as we experience it and react to it. I'm happy for Ben Von Wong, that he's found his calling. Most of us will never attain that dream, with bills to pay and family responsibilities. However, we can use each moment to the utmost - in whatever way is appropriate for us. I just enjoy creating images for myself. If other enjoy them, great; but that's not what it's all about for me. It's great that we all have our own special take on photography and what it means to us! :)
