Has anyone received an email threatening to have account deleted

February 4th, 2015
To Ross and whosoever,

Since I received a do not reply on the following email, I thought I'd post this here just to see whether or not this was a scam or what? Not sure why I received this today because I post daily on three different albums.

Hi Kareen,

We've missed you over at 365project.org! You haven't logged in for a few months now, why don't you come back and give your project another go?

Did you know you don't have to post every day, it is about creating an album over a year you can cherish.

Not tempted? In that case we will need to delete your photos from our servers - this enables us to put the space to good use for others on the 365 Project.

If you wish to keep your account active, and don't want your photos deleted, you can simply log on to the website within the next 7 days ( http://365project.org/) and we promise not to delete them.

We wish you all the best, and hopefully we'll see you again in the future. Please let us know why the project didn't work out for you to help us make 365 a better place for new members in the future.

I have not recieved this email, but it sounds like a scam as it makes claims that are not part of 365project.org.

Yes, if you are not active for a bit your account gets removed. Not sure of the wording but I have gotten it on my original accout

@kareenking
I've gotten that e-mail before, a long time ago though, while I had an Ace account and was participating more regularly than I do now. I just ignored it and nothing was ever taken from me (I'm no longer an ACE but that was of my own choice.) I just figured my e-mail address got mixed up with someone who the message was actually intended for. Hope you get it sorted, whatever the case.

@kareenking Hi Karen, yes that email is from 365 project, it's not a scam, basically if an account has been inactive for over a year we do close them after sending out this message. It costs a lot of money to store photos at the scale I do, and so I have to be frugal, i'd like to keep everyones photos forever but i just can't afford to keep ones that are never going to be used again. If you have an active account, one that you login to regularly you will never see this email, my guess is that you have at some point created a 2nd account which you haven't logged in to, and that is why you are receiving that email, for your other account maybe?

reply @Scrivna
Hi Ross. Thanks for explaining why these emails are sent out. I never set up a separate account, so I am confused why I received this being that my account is anything but inactive. I am an ACE member and post daily on three albums.
Thank you.

@Scrivna Hi - my account was deleted due to inactivity...I am using a new email address, and only checked the old one periodically and missed the account deletion notice. Is there ANY way my project can be reinstated??? I am rather heartbroken it is gone...
