You can take photographs of anything. Close ups, favourite ornaments, food, flowers, reflections, puddles... the list is endless. Try taking part in some of the competitions here as well. I can see that you are new here. Don't worry - in time you will see all sorts of things to photograph that you had never seen before.

@sr20150623 Keep going, you will be surprised where you find pictures. Try your food/dinner/lunch make it look as good as you can. Try looking from different angles at it. We all have dry spells, Eve's advice is good, have a look at challenges. Mundane/Abstract is a good one as every day objects feature. Good Luck!

Taking the underground is a new photo opportunity everyday. Take a look at street photography. The more pictures you take the more options you will see, and remember it's meant to be fun....

The every day thing is interesting, but I gave it up a long time ago. I have an hour commute to and from work. So I take a lot of pictures at one time and post. There are no "everyday" police. It is your project and you decide what to post and when the picture is taken.

Look around your house, there are loads of different things to photograph there - the kitchen, utensils, products, pets, bedroom, lounge then there's the garden, insects, birds, grass, flowers!

If you really look around there are plenty of different things to photograph.

Ha! I know your situation. Don't worry. Look around you and you will notice that even the 'normal' things around you are hardly ever the same. In time you will change and so will your surroundings. It took me 4 years to cover some of my daily routines... Still far from finished. Most important thing: keep looking around you, keep enjoying to take pictures of EVERYTHING and make it your project without any expectation form your fellow 365'ers.
Succes. I will follow :-)

I find it as easy to take photos in my everyday surroundings - house/garden/local streets etc as going out specially to look for shots. As several people have said here, just take shots of everything. Think of your 365 page as a photographic diary. Good luck!

Being able to "see" things in the everyday is something that develops over time and anyone can develop it. Don't worry about taking gallery quality photos. Relax and enjoy the adventure of discovery. There are things to photograph everywhere! What some have said above is quite true. Once you start looking you'll see photo opportunities at every turn. What surprises you? What makes you happy? Something quirky, something sad, something beautiful. It's all there to be captured by your camera- but the photo starts with what you see. If you like to read, these may inspire you:

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received here is the motto: "your project-your rules". You don't have to be bound to the "shot a day" method if it's hard for you. Modify it to your own needs. No one checks up on you or fines you if you don't comply. So keep it simple and do what works best for you.

And most of all have fun!
