@snaphappi Thank you Maggie that is a real honour.. it was a great site to see, and I think Hunting gets a bit of bad press but after seeing the out and about yesterday It seems to be all about riding over our beautiful country side..
You are absolutely right about the main purpose of hunting here. The horses and the dogs all look so happy in this shot. Those hares are pretty hard to catch on our steep hunting territories and the good thing about them is they usually run in a huge circle so you end up where you started which is handy. I used to hunt with the Starborough Hunt Club in Marlborough and then for a short time with the Otago Hunt club. The latter had only drag hunts with hounds following a pre-laid aniseed trail.
