nik silver fx glitching

August 1st, 2015
ever since i started using my new laptop and LR CC (started both at the same time) i've been ending up with random glitches along the edges of images processed from LR into nik silver fx... this never happened on my old laptop when using LR5 and nik silver fx...

here is an example:

i've blown up the glitchy bit... if you look very closely you'll see it comes from the top right edge... it's pretty easy to clone out the glitches, of course... but it shouldn't be necessary!

anyone know what is causing this?

Can't help but just to say that I run LR-CC and I use the Nik software suite often, but I've never had this problem. Good luck with finding a solution.

I had an issue with DxO Optics and file corruption which finally came down to a damaged cable. Changed the cable and the blocky bits went away.

I have been getting something similar for the last couple of weeks but it only seems to occur with certain presets and luckily not the ones I normally use. I may try reinstalling Nik software to see if that fixes it.

@candidzen yes - I think you're right... Some presets but not others... Glad it's not just me! (Although sorry to hear you're experiencing this as well). Let me know if the reinstall fixed it...

@northy I have just completely uninstalled and then reinstalled it and so far it seems to have cleared the problem. For me it was an intermittent issue and so I can't be sure yet if it is fixed for good.
