"This is looking a Little Spammy"????

My daughter was being diligent and commenting on all the people she follows and received the comment above with a 5 minute ban on commenting and she only did one comment on each photo of her following list. Very concerning. Anyone have a clue what this is? She's new, and I can't see why this would come up. :(

i'm sure i've seen or heard of this before... maybe something about a character key being used? or accidentally pressing reply when the comment field was empty?

I've had that happen to me once or twice, when I've gone on a quick comment spree! It's nothing to worry about :) Just the system trying to protect against spam comments (which it sometimes gets wrong!).

I had that happen yesterday. I only have so much time on the Internet so was trying to catch up on all of my comments and got called spammy lol.

Hi, yeah for newer members there are some checks on how many comments you can post in a certain time period or if you post the same comment over and over. Just to try and keep the site spam free

@Scrivna Thanks. I kept telling my daughter to make sure she says something of substance other than "great shot" so she must have been caught on the # of comments made. Appreciate the answer. I'll tell her to "pace herself" :)

i think its more the amount of comments posted in an amount of time rather than the substance of the comments ;)

@toast I think that should probably be applied to some of the folks who have been here a long time already (haha)! Poor girl, she was going for substance. And she doesn't have a bunch of friends yet! LOL. But I get it. I think.
