windows upgrade causes changes in my photos in LR

September 11th, 2015
I upgraded to windows 8.1 last night. I did it so I could upgrade to windows 10 and you have to do the 8.1 first. When I went to work on my photos in Lightroom when it was done, the photos inside of lightroom looked oversaturated. At least that is the best way I can put it. I have over 500 photos that I am correcting because of this. Is anyone aware of what might be wrong?

You upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1, is that right? I upgraded directly from Windows 7 to 10 and had no problems. Indeed, Photoshop CC 2015( latest update) appears to run somewhat faster and smoother under 10. I found no issues with things changing out from under me. Sorry I can render no thoughts on the subject.

@frankhymus thanks Frank. When I went to the Windows page it told me I had to go from 8.1 to get 10 : ( maybe this had nothing to do with the upgrade but it is odd that it happened right after I did it. Actually things to seem to be running a bit faster with 8.1 but I won't upgrade to 10 til I finish and backup these photos!

@jackies365 FWIW,I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 and it was completely painless... I had to update a couple of drivers but that was straightforward. Like Frank @frankhymus I'm finding 10 smoother and faster, especially start-up and shutdown.
