Any suggestions for processing raw images from my LUMIX. I read that it is not compatible with Lightroom. Apparently I can use Affinity. Does anyone out there have experience with this software? I have a MAC book pro, but use my IPad Air 4 most of the time. Also, if anyone knows of apps for my IPad that do raw processing, that would be great. Thanks so much!
I looked up camera raw images supported for Lightroom on Adobe's site and they show that raw images from the LX100 are supported in Lightroom 5.7 and higher (including CC).
Since you mentioned Macbook Pro and iPad (which I also have), I looked up raw support for the LX100 and Apple shows it is supported in Mac OSX Yosemite and iOS 9 in the Photos app. To be honest, the editing features in the new Photos app isn't shabby at all if you turn on all the advanced options (by default they are all off), but Lightroom is certainly the better option (especially the Adobe Photography Creative Cloud plan where you get both Lightroom and Photoshop for $10/mo).
@moonmtn Hi Kahsa. I too have a Lumix camera, a GH4 and I process all of my RAW images with Lightroom on a macbopk pro with no problems at all. I use the lightroom CC which is the same as lightroom 5.
If you subscribe to lightroom CC you also have access to a phone Ipad ap for lightroom.
@dbj Thank you for taking the time to respond. @creampuff Thank you for taking the time to respond. @deborah63 Thank you. Are you pleased with your LUMIX?
I don't do much RAW processing yet , but use the SilkyPix software which came with my DMC-FZ1000 which has some difficulties and disappointments for the price and the potential. camera & software
