Erased photos

January 1st, 2011
Heyyy :)
So yesterday I made some photos, but somehow I managed to erase them...
Is there a way in the camera, even if I had erased them, to find them back?
Because few years ago, I managed it with my compact, so if you know how to do it, could you please help me? :)

Is there a way to have them back or not?

download and run recova. It's free and it works great. As long as you haven't written a new file over the old file, and the drive isn't damaged recova can recover it.

Yeah actually, that's the problem, I erased them directly from the camera. And that's what I'm afraid, that there is no way to find them back.
But I wanted to ask, maybe there's someone who's gonna know what to do with that :)

Even if you erase them directly on the camera, (deleting an individual photo, or formatting the card) the images are still there until new images are written in it's place. The same goes with any type of document on any media. (remember that when you sell a computer, usb drive or anything that once had sensitive data - if you don't use a software that scrubs the free space of the drive, it can be recovered the next owner)

Here's what you've gotta do to get the photos back using recova. Connect your camera to your computer (or better, get a card reader and connect that to your computer). Run recova, and select file type of 'pictures'. Then for file location, choose 'in a specific location' and click browse. browse to the drive of your memory card. (usually d, e or f drive). Go to next, and click 'enable deep scan' then click start.

That should do it. -- Good luck.

@sudweeks Thanks for everything you told me now. The problem is that my camera does appear in the section camera and scanners, and not in the section removal disks (or how is it called in english). And when I put my memory card directly in the computer, he doesn't see it. So what I have to do, is to buy a card reader and it's gonna work with recovera?
