A photo book of 365 images

August 22nd, 2016
I am thinking of doing a photo book of all the images I have posted for 2016 as a way to have a true reflection of my year. I would like to include the headings and information, and maybe even some of the comments.
Is there a way to do this from the 365 site, or do I need to upload them from my pc and copy the titles, words, etc. ? Thanks.

I create a 365 book every year. I'm not aware of a way to do it direct from this site though. I use Blurb ( http://www.blurb.com/) and use their BookSmart app to add each picture when I post it each day. I've found trying to create one at the end of the year is too big a task so create it as we go along. At the end of the year, I upload it to Blurb and order.

Neat idea! I wanted to do similar and think that doing it a bit each day/week would certainly help toward remembering and breaking down the task. Only I might want to change some images later on.

I wanted to show someone a portfolio of my work today and quickly put together 52 images - so there's one for each week at any rate!

@humphreyhippo Great suggestion, do it as you got. Especially for putting down you comments. I continue to add to one of my train books that I started about the BNSF subdivision between Wenatchee and Ephrata, Washington. One day I'll make it public on Blurb.

@365projectorgjenfurj I also use Blurb because they have software that you can download and use without an Internet connect, a situation which my wife and I get into while on the road. The current program is BookWright (on my Win7 box) and BookSmart (on my XP box). Haven't looked at any other providers recently.

Thankyou for your quick responses. I was hoping there would of been a direct link from the 365 site, as I know how big a task it can be after doing several. Thankyou for your suggestions and I'll investigate:) @cottiac @humphreyhippo @byrdlip

I've been thinking about a book since January! I looked into Shutterfly, since that's my family's go-to photo book printing service. The price is obviously kind of obscene but Shutterfly does a lot of coupons, sales, and discounts.

@humphreyhippo Now that is planning ahead! Good thinking!

@humphreyhippo Very clever idea, I must look into it.

I also use Blurb to make a book every year. I keep an unwatermarked version of all the shots I upload and tag it '365' on my computer. I can easily find them and upload them all in chronological order. I choose the 100-something best ones to highlight in a small booklet (18x18 cm) and at the end I add the monthly views. Those I get from the 365 site but it's a whole ordeal to get them the way I want.
I copy/paste the photos from the webpage in Word and later in Powerpoint to get a black background (like the rest of my book) and make a jpg file which I add in my book like a regular photo. But then all of my 365 photos make it into the book, even from my extra albums.
Another tip for Blurb users; get the mailings and wait for awesome coupons, you can easily make the book on your computer and wait, like @humphreyhippo does.

@laetitiapetrussa Yep! I always Google 'blurb coupon code' whenever I use the site and there is usually an active 10-20% discount code floating around. :)

@humphreyhippo The mailing list can get you up to -35%, -45% and one time I had -50%. I also had 2+1 free and gifted my 365-photo books to my mother and grandmother. Patience is rewarded!

@claycameras @allie912 @kjarn @laetitiapetrussa thank you very much for the advice & information. The blurb site certainly sounds like one to explore further. Much appreciated for taking the time to respond.😊

@365projectorgjenfurj Hi, take a look at https://www.bobbooks.co.uk

You will need to upload each photo again, but the interface is really very simple and quick. Facility to copy text etc or type is also easy.

I made one from Shutterfly and just yesterday I made one on Snapfish. I did not order it yet, I'm waiting for a sale. It's all ready to go though, so as soon as I see a sale, I'm ordering it. I got my first one for $20. I LOVE it. I definitely recommend. I got and 8 x 8 hard back which is a really nice size. You can choose to put 1, 2, 3, 4 or more photos on each page. So I did a variety, and put a full page of my very favorites, and it was fun putting it together.

@julie Thankyou for the information. I'm dreading the actual uploading as that what takes so long. But at least with the 365 photos they are already in sequence. I just wish I had put them into a separate folder on the PC to make it easier.
