In these United States this is Labor Day weekend, kind of the swan song of summer. Where I am its still going to be warm for a while but schools have started so it's back to the grind - also football season

Great shot, Katherine! I love the star trails. Lovely idea and thank you for asking for our fav vacation shots. This is mine and it was taken in July at the Jersey Shore.
A couple of weeks ago I went to Northumberland in north east England and Berwickshire in southern Scotland. When I was in Scotland, the weather was incredible (by Scottish standards, anyway!), so here's a photo of part of the hike I did from St Abb's (the town isn't visible, but St Abb's Head is the flatter headland on the left) up and over the cliffs, which make up part of the North Sea Trail (a long distance route going from Dover in the south east corner of England, all the way up the east coast into Scotland then down Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium).
I really like this shot because it's a memory of everything I want from a holiday: solitude, nature and sunshine
I just got back from Wales - caught this, a horse living near where we were staying (Fort Belan, near Caernarfon) with the peaks of Snowdonia in the background
