seeing photos on black

I'm no longer able to switch to see photos on black background. Any ideas? suggestions? anyone else having this problem?

I can still see the black on my computer but it no longer works on my phone.

interesting... it works on my computer (mac book pro) and iPad mini, but not on my iPhone...

i find if i zoom in on my browser it no longer works, press ctrl and the minus key at the same time until its at the smallest then it will work

never worked on my phone and is intermittent on my laptop but fine on tablet (both Android)

@kali66 @granagringa Like Kali said, if your browser window is not big enough to hold the full image in the "album" view, like when you've zoomed in too far, it won't execute "display on black," at least on the standard browsers. I don't know what quirks Ross might have used to code this function back when. It is different from the "Album" view, scroll bars are used there even if the image is too big. Not in the "view on black" mode.

@kali66 This worked! Thank you so much, this worked. I'm very impressed that you figured this out. Of course, now I have to go back and forth on size to either see on black or read anything...even with my glasses.

@granagringa Just remember the Ctl+ or Ctl- shortcuts. Or go to the "options" menu in the browser. :)
