Has anyone used a reliable recovery program to retrieve lost photos from an SD card? I've tried several free ones, paid for another, and none of them worked. Today, my SD card lost all the photos I took, at least 20 or 30 pics. They weren't particularly important pics, but some pretty good pics, nonetheless.
I keep being told to use CNET.COM, but that's what I already tried.
Ugh! That is frustrating... when this happened to me some years ago I used stellar data recovery and managed to recover most of my images if I recall correctly... but you might want to wait to hear from someone with more recent experience... I do hoe up find a solution that works for you...
I needed to recover photos from a card recently and ended up buying an inexpensive program after some research on some freebies I found on line. I tried to find out the exact name for you but I'm not sure this is the exact title. It's listed in my programs as CardRecovery 6.10 and WinRecovery Software. That isn't ringing a bell- but technically the process could be the same for you. I checked out a few, read the reviews and then picked up the one that fit my needs and got the best reviews.

Hi from New Zealand. Arrgg!! I 'cleverly' deleted photos a few months ago. Did some online research and downloaded a free programme that enabled me to view the deleted photos , but then had to pay to recover. So decided against it! I also discovered that a local camera store would do for a small fee. But decided against it as the list photos weren't that special!
But good to know in theory it could be done
