Photo file is too large and cannot be uploaded!

Hi everyone, especially Elements users. After fiddling with layers, it is not possible to upload my photo as the file is too large. How do I change that and where do I resize so thst it can be uploaded to 365? Imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have had this problem as well... after you have edited your shot.. go to
File.... Save as .... save.... JPEG options box... maximum .. drop down arrow .. option to med or low...Hope this helps .. looks forward to seeing your shot..

Hi Diana. You have different options in Elemtens.
a) You can choose "safe for web", and there you can indicate the size, you would like to have the end product. Unfortunately this also deletes the exif date, but this would be a solution.
b) Under Image you can choose picture size (I do not know the exact wording, as I use a german issue), also there you can resize the picture.
Make sure you always safe the original size picture for your archive.

You need to "merge" the layers before saving the mage: Layers Menu > Flatten Image

helstor has said what I would have said - it's the flatten tool that will give you a workable file size
