Hi,
I am new here and excited about the project.
If I have a photo I took a while ago and edit the heck out of it in PS or LR today, would it count as today's photo?
Welcome!
The general rule is, whatever you want to count, counts - it's your project so your rules. So if you feel like editing the #*&% out of an old photo and posting it for today, go for it
no rules, some do a new photo a day, some do a week of daily uploads from a photoshot. Some leave gaps in thier month. Enjoy being here, it's great fun.
Welcome, and I think is it fine, Haya. Our saying here is it's you project so it's your rules. As long as you are not taking credit for someone else's photo. I was never able to take a picture every day so I would take several in a day and use them during the week. I've also used older photos, too. I think everyone has different reasons for being on here. Have fun with your project.
The only _however_, if you enter a challenge, beware that there may be date restrictions on the photo, as in, "photo must be taken between today and next Friday" kindathing :-)
welcome :)
with the exception of challenges/competitions that have time constraints you can post however it suits you - I sometimes post photos from the day - when time is short I have themes when I use photos from previous outings - which I am doing atm
enjoy and have fun - it's a great site!
Welcome and enjoy. This is a great program. everyone is so friendly and helpful. I'm in my seventh year and at that time we had stricter rules. the saying at that time was a picture a day of your live. now I upload one a day although I have three albums. you see, when you become an ACE member you get three albums to post in. Sometimes I have a few nice pictures I like to post on the same day, then I also post in album 2 and album 3. Being an ACE member has a lot of other perks too.
Hi Zimmerman and welcome to 365! Yes, you can edit an older photo and post it for the day, or post a photo a day, or... Like Marilyn said, the motto here is, "Your project, your rules"! I'm in my 7th year too, and my first year I did stick to the photo a day "official" 365 project- missing only two days due to power outages. My second year was pretty close, but after that I wanted a little more freedom and like you I had older photos I wanted to work on too. To me it was important to keep this as fun and artistic as possible. Some challenges do have time constraints so you have to be mindful of them, but other than that feel free to post the way you feel best. And once again, welcome!!
I'm happy to read this post. I'm also a new member. Every day a picture is not always comfortable for me, but I have many older photos that I would like to show too. I'm happy with your comments and answers. Sorry if my English is not so good, my native language is Dutch.
