Hello, everyone

January 5th, 2018
Hi, everyone. I’m new here. I only have an iPhone and haven’t got the hang of using camera apps so my photos are pretty basic! Still, I’d like to have feedback from anyone who’d like to comment. I’ve “followed” a few people but their photos haven’t appeared in my newsfeed yet. Do I need to change my settings? I’m assuming this site has a newsfeed type format? Any help and tips and followers would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Rebecca! I'm sort of new, I've done this project before, but never made it the full 365 days! I have a Nikon D7000, but I've mostly been using my iPhone 8 for my photos.

I'm not sure why others photos aren't showing. It does have a newsfeed format similar to Instagram and Facebook where you just scroll through.

click on the 365project icon top left Rebecca, that should be your feed page.
enjoy your project, iam sure you will find that your phone camera can do a lot, there are many people here who do awesome photos with theirs.

A
I think it's that you'll only see new photos that are posted after following people, not stuff that was posted before.

I use an iPhone for all of my photos and find it really effective for this project.

Welcome Rebecca! You will find that the 365 community is the most supportive on-line photo community you could ever land on. I started out here with a "little point and shoot" and quickly learned that "the best camera is the one in your hands". You'll do just fine with your iPhone! And there are a lot of people who use them here. So have fun, enjoy your project and get ready to grow as a photographer no matter what camera you're using.

@olivetreeann Hi, Ann. Thanks very much for the encouragement. :)

@rebeccapennington Welcome. I also use iPhone 7 50/50 with my Canon 60D -- mostly when I catch a shot opportunity when I am without the big camera. iPhone quality is good for close ups but degrades quickly as distance increases so be aware of that.

Also, note that you can reply to mutiple people in the same post -- either click on all their (reply) links before posting.

Have fun.

Hello! Enjoy the project. Best camera is the one you've got! Don't need fancy gear to be creative!

@jaybutterfield @jackies365 Thank you, both. Thanks for the tip, Jay - you’ve saved everyone getting multiple notifications from me!

Welcome Rebecca, the best camera is the one you have as others have said. I'm on my 4th year now but have yet to complete a year, life just gets in the way sometimes. but the community are so supportive and good feedback is there for the taking. Enjoy!

@rebeccapennington Welcom Rebecca. I use a Samsung phone for some of my photos on 365 and love to have a play with editing. The one ap that I would highly recommend for editing is Snapseed. Its free, has some amazing presets, but also allows you to take control of your own editing.

Have fun and I hope you enjoy 365 Project.

@deborah63 Hi, Debbie. Thanks for the welcome and the tip - you are the second person to suggest Snapseed so I will definitely check it out. 😊
