@andreajoy was a user on here who was wonderful. I just to do something for her now that she is riding the Unicorns over the rainbow after losing her battle with cancer last night. As she was a member on here I thought I would start this thread as a tributes thread to her. Feel free to post a pic and leave a comment.
Andrea's passing was very sad news to wake up to. She fought hard, she loved and she lived her life right up until she wasn't able to anymore. This photo is Lake Taupo, which Andrea loved. It was taken the evening after I'd met Andrea as we passed through her town. We had a lovely chat for an hour or so while my kids played at the playground. She will be missed!
i had an interaction with her a couple of times on this site. i'm sorry to hear of her passing. her inner strength is exemplary. may she rest in peace. my condolences to her family and friends.
@huvesaker A thread has been stared on here this morning Boo under the name @andreajoy. Just to let you know that some of us have already written in tribute. The more lovely words the better though so this is good to see!
@huvesaker yes it's so sad, after such a struggle I feel very bereft but poor girl is at peace at last. All the tributes are good so the more the better. I only said because I didn't want you to think no none had bothered, 😘
I did not know Andrea or have the pleasure of interacting with her on 365, but I understand how special a friend like that can be. I compiled this shot when a very dear friend died last September. My heartfelt sympathies to you, all Andrea's friends and her loved ones. Like my friend Joyce, it sounds like she traveled the journey of her life well. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I followed her story until I took a break from 365. Had the opportunity to exchange a few comments with her. I was struck by her courage and spirit in facing her illness. Sending sympathies to her family and friends. Even those of us who knew her only casually will miss her.
A flower for Andrea, a brave lady. And condolences, kind thoughts and all good vibes to her family. It was especially poignant for me following Andrea's 'journey' as we had taken that path with my sister, Wendy, 20 years ago. It was good that Andrea could be open about the way she faced her illness and surely give understanding to others in a similar position.
Finale:
Fly with the angels. Rest in peace
